I still haven't floated down the river but in between unpacking, sorting, cleaning, painting and looking in every room and out side space three times only to forget what I was looking for in the first place. We have had some fun. These are just a few of the things we have done.

OK the preparation for painting the living room is kind of fun, it's the kind of fun you have when the job is done.

Biking Back Enderby road, it was a beautiful day. I had to wear Steve's gloves since mine are packed somewhere. I have new ones now. Steve has been biking to work in the morning and home for lunch. It takes him about 5 minutes

Fun in the sun and the fresh air with interesting scenery all around .

Floating down the river would be a much nicer way to spend my time rather than cleaning up after someones dog every morning. I spend a lot of time thinking up ways to discourage this invisible dog.

Moving day August 4Th 2010 and we arrived at 11:30 PM to a crunching under our feet in the carport and a dark house. We didn't find the light switch till the next day and a week later I found the one in the car port.

I spent many hours taking the glum out of the basement. If you are tall you don't want to be in this basement but for me it's not that bad My head doesn't hit a thing.

After the movers came and went we had no room to breath.

New adventures.

Good bye town house, sofa and chair in excellent condition are for Sale.

It took a year but on Saturday July 17Th our townhouse was sold with a possession date of August 4Th. We just happened to be in Enderby looking at places when we got the call. And we just stumbled upon and open house. It was a place of interest but we feared out of our price range. We put in an offer on Sunday July 18Th and on Wednesday July 21st it was ours. Move in date August 4Th . This 1940's home is half the size of our lively town home so we will not be taking everything.

All I have to say about the kitchen is that it is functional.

Living room with hard wood floors that are also in the Master bedroom and the bathroom. The only carpet is in the big walk through closet and that is going!

I am looking forward to floating down the river.

Wes Giesbrecht, Wood Mosaic Wall Hangings and Abstract Paintings

Wes Giesbrecht is a cabinet maker by trade. As an apprentice he was most interested in boxes, jewelry boxes. Small boxes, big boxes, boxes with drawers. With each prototype that he built he realized that boxes were very labor intense and he would not be able to sell them for the price he would have to charge. He needed to come up with an idea that was more artistic than functional. His first wood mosaic was a head board, from scraps of maple and burl walnut, he cut many, many pieces of wood, glued them to a hollow core door, framed it and hung it on the wall. Everyone who saw it loved it. So he did another one, as a sunburst glued to wood with a frame around it. While he was making the sunburst he got the idea of putting them on fabric so he could roll them up for shipping and storing. Careful attention had to be paid to the size of the wood pieces or they wouldn't roll. He uses 50 different species of wood for his mosaics. He also paints acrylic Abstract and we didn't talk about it but he is also a musician.

Wes is a founding member of the Fraser Valley Woodworkers. He has a BC instructors diploma and substitute teaches Journeymen Cabinet Making, at UFV.

Wes is inspired from within. When he needs inspiration he sits and lets it come to him.

From his 12Th grade teacher come his words of wisdom.

"If the situation is killing you, get out of it" I think that was his inspiration to quite drinking, which he feels is one of his greatest achievements.
